The Book Club - "Anarchist"

No-one's really listening yeah no-one here is listening to you,
And soon you learn that all it serves is to burn more bridges than you build,
All your verbs are doing words yet all you seem to do is move in circles,
Sacrificing quality for quantity of all the words you use.

And although my God likes a trier, and commitment brings about change,
I've come to the conclusion you're an anarchist for anarchy's sake.

Rallying the comrades and endless talk of fighting the good fight,
But you see which way the wind is blowing and then you fly your kite,
A scoundrel that's without a cause, a renegade with no remorse it's true,
Just spare a thought for those who suffer from your Machiavellian pursuits.

And although my God likes a trier, and commitment brings about change,
I've come to the conclusion you're an anarchist for anarchy's sake.

I'm under no illusion that you're different for different's sake.

Legs akimbo. ... more
